Haiku
One denies science,
another poetry, who
can claim to be best?
The lazy red dog
jumped over nothing, but
lazed around all day
"Abstinence," he scoffed,
"if you say so, but to me
it's just Obstinance"
Nine o'clock; 'Soon, soon,'
says Wilson Pickett, 'just three
more hours to kill.'
The wisdom of speech
is inversely related
to its volume
The last note of the
weekend fades away, Monday
arrives like a slap
The call to prayer
issuing from the mosque, three
dogs divvy up scraps
