Every year I try to sashay around one of my very favorite places in Columbus, Ohio to see their annual orchid display. It’s always good to get out of winter’s bluster and feel the warmth of nature … and the greenhouse. The 2015 presentation began in early January. I went mid month. And while the display … at least at this point in the winter .... was not as dramatic as last year … I never tire of the desert cacti, the Dale Chihuly artwork, the bonsai trees, The Palm Room, and the year round beauty of this gem of Franklin County. Of course the orchids there now are gorgeous. But I’m assuming they will be more plentiful … more diverse … and more in bloom … later in the winter and early spring. The orchid display runs thorough April 5th and I certainly intend to stroll through it at least one more time.
Maybe 2 or 3.
