Rick’s Sunday Morning Spicy Celebration Bloody Mary
by
Rick Brown
Ingredients:
1 tbs. Bookbinder’s Horseradish (or wasabi)
1 tbs. Lee & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbs. Bookbinder’s Cocktail Sauce (to taste)
2 tbs. Castelvetrano Olive brine
8 drops Cholula Chipotle Hot Sauce (to taste)
4 drops Tabasco Pepper Sauce (to taste)
2 shakes onion salt
3 cranks black peppercorns
6 – 8 oz. R. W. Knudsen’s Very Veggie Juice (their low salt option is best)
3 speared pitted Castelvetrano Olives
1 ½ - 2 oz Tito’s Vodka
Create:
Pour 1 ½ - 2 oz. Tito’s Vodka into a 12 or 16 oz glass.
Add all ingredients except Very Veggie Juice and speared olives.
Stir briskly with a small fork or whisk.
Add 4 standard size ice cubes. (frozen tomato juice cubes are a nice touch)
Pour 6 - 8 oz. Very Veggie over the ice and other ingredients
Stir gently and add speared olives as a garnish.
This wonderfully satisfying cocktail is a meal in itself. Adding a diced (small) cucumber spear is a lovely addition … albeit a pain in the neck. But if you are making more than one drink, adjust ingredients accordingly and mix together in the Very Veggie jar (as long as there is room). Or mix it in a blender. I don’t use exact measurements. The additional karma makes this Bloody Mary that much more delicious.
Enjoy!!!!
